Munroe TavernMunroe Tavern in Lexington, Massachusetts, played a prominent role in the Battle of Lexington and Concord. It was first opened by William Munroe in 1695. On April 18, 1775, one day before the outbreak of the battle, Munroe Tavern was a meeting spot for colonials. At 6:30 p.m. that evening, Solomon Brown of Lexington, who had gone to the market in Boston, returned and reported to Munroe that he had seen a patrol of British soldiers. That afternoon the tavern became the headquarters for Brigadier General Hugh Percy, 2nd Duke of Northumberland, and his one thousand reinforcements. 4th of July Volume 1 R2 Complete Edition is a set of eight models of buildings from the era of the American Revolution - 1775-1783 AD.
